Because of some strange rules in the Danish league we have had to wait to make Brett and Josh pro players on our team. They have so far only been amateur players, and with that status they would not have to get a visa for Denmark. But as soon as the Nordic qualification were over, we applied.
That ment they could not play the game on Friday against Aarhus. So we made some changes in the squad: The libero started as an outside, and our injured outside started as a libero.
We started the game slowly, and half way we were 3-4 points behind. With as many as 11 errors we basically gave them the set.
But the last half of the first set went a lot better, and even though we didn’t win it we still got our momentum going. So by the time we started the second set we showed them we were the better team.
The rest of the game went better and better. Serving mistakes went drastically down, and our sideout a lot more stable.
My own thoughts on my game is devided. My serving was good and stable, and even when Mikkel told me to hit it harder I didn’t miss. I still need time to warm up the serve though.Attack was good, much credit to Kasey who set me up with a small one man block every time.Blocking is once again the worst aspect of my game. Hopefully I will start to figure some stuff out the next couple of weeks. I know I can block, but right now it seems like the timing is way off.
