After playing a lot of mediocre teams we were ready to play a match against a really good team. We knew Gentofte was good, and the game this weekend was a perfect chance for us to see if our team is able to compete against the best teams in Denmark.

Our training week has been good. We focused on match like situations, and played drills that should make us start each set with more concentration and rhythm. And it seemed to work yesterday.

Gentofte started the game and got a little bit ahead, but not the usual 5 points we tend to get behind. We got those points back with aggressive serving, but got behind again right before we passed 20 points. We fought back and won the set 30-28,

Second set was a lot like the first. Both teams played good volleyball, and we ended the set with the smallest margin again, 25-23.

Third set, 16-25. Total collapse.

But in the fourth set we got back in the game, and I think we had more control during this set then in the two first. The team played great, but we still have a lot to work on before the Nordic. 29 - 27.

I was happy with my performance yesterday, specially my back row attack was great. The serve on the other hand was awful. Not because I didn’t hit the ball correctly, but because it hit the tape every time. I probably set a new record in service errors for the club.

Next weekend we play Middelfart. It will be fun to see their team now after they got a couple new outsides to join them.
