This weekend we played against the Danish U20 team in Kildeskovshallen. I was sitting comfortably on the stands watching the game this week, because we wanted to show off our younger players for the national coach.

Before the match Gentofte played against Spentrup. Gentofte and Joakim Larsen played a good game without their usual starter outside Casper Munk. Spentrup had in reality no chance.

Marienlyst on the other hand didn’t have a great start. We started with four new players on the court, but couldn’t keep our personal errors at a low level. 13 errors in the first game made it easy for the young talents (25 - 17).

We did some changes during the break and it slowly gave results. During the match the team played better and better, ending in the fourth set with a 16 - 25 victory.

The next three weekends will be a lot tougher. We’ll meet Gentofte and Middelfart in two first weeks. Then we travel to Sweden to play the Nordic Championship in Linköping. Can’t wait to play some really good matches the next weeks.
